The Story

Steven Lucas, an ambitious Overseas Filipino Worker in Qatar moves in the high-profile world of concerts and shows as an “Eventologist” — the glamorous term for someone who organizes events.

After a string of sold-out shows headlined by the biggest Pinoy celebrities, Steven experiences a series of misfortunes both man-made and natural, ultimately leading to his depression and sickness. When he finally regains his strength, go-getter Steven attempts a comeback by mounting his grandest project yet: a documentary-drama film featuring real footage, hidden camera clips, and staged scenes — all inspired by his personal struggles in the richest land in the world.

​This time around, will Steven’s vision become a victorious reality or is he doomed to suffer a fate that’s worse than his scariest nightmare?

Director's Note

The Eventologist is an advocacy film that tackles social issues. Its filming treatment combines the genres of feature, documentary-drama and reality.
 
A Filipino expat in Qatar seeks to help his homesick “kababayans” (fellow Filipinos) by bringing prominent celebrities from the Philippines for concerts. Along the way, he experiences a series of downfalls. Will love for life, love of family and friendship help him rise again?

The film has an over-all budget of Php 15,000,000 (fifteen million in Philippine pesos) and your backing will help our production fund the following expenses.

Film production is expensive and is often a challenge to creatives who wish to make their dream projects.
